ISC Firemanship School

SCHOOL ENDS IN A CLOUD OF SMOKE - The annual Firemanship School conducted by the Engineering Extension Service of Iowa State College ended Friday in a dense cloud of smoke as a simulated street fire concluded the week's activities.  Two automobiles and four thousand gallons of gasoline were used in the blaze.  Firemen from all over Iowa attended the school.  Firemanship School was conducted on campus east of Haber Road just north of the Union Pacific tracks.  The 2009 85th annual Fire Service Training Bureau Summer Fire School will be held in Ames June 19 and 20.  Iowa Fire School training is now offered in these communities: Ames, Cedar Rapids, Creston, Council Bluffs, Davenport, Emmetsburg, Fort Dodge, Ottumwa, Peosta, Sioux City, Waterloo, and West Burlington.  Learn more about Iowa Fire Schools or visit the website of Professional Rescue Innovations (additional photos).
